Fun with the Arnolds!

Jack, Josh, Abby, Jacob and I went up to Brook, IN to visit Kim and Craig. We were treated to an incredible day. The best part...hot air ballooning over their house and surrounding corn and bean fields. I can see how it would be totally addicting!
This is our pilot. He is holding up the bottom end of the balloon while a large fan is blowing air into the cavity. My stomach was churning with nerves at this point. ;-)
This was the second balloon up. Beautiful!
Josh and Jack are looking a little nervous I think.
This is my favorite shot....
"We are up in the air and haven't gotten sick, MOM!!"

Tyler's 6th Birthday!!

Tyler wanted to go bowling on his birthday, so we trucked cake, ice cream, and gifts over there and had a wonderful time! No idea who had the best score, but Mom did win in Team 2...just saying. ;-)
He's rolling!
Okay.......even with the bumpers up, you can still roll a big fat 0.
Eric learned to use the bumpers for his own advantage.
The cake had Spiderman AND Batman... courtesy of the bakery shop.

Bath time and building time

Jacob has found his favorite bath toy. Yes, it's gross...very gross, but technically, I am helping build his immune system. Between what he picks up from my pristinely clean floors and that sponge, he is in good shape. ;-)

Josh has built a new chicken coop. It is smaller scale than the one Drew built, but he has done it all himself. I am very proud of him!
Eric and Abby are helping. ;-)
Abby is measuring.

Abby with the chicken

Jules holding Jacob....they are buddies!
Jules reading to Abby...they are buddies too!
When you find doll glasses that fit really well, it's a natural progression
to try them on a baby!

I'm glad we got her a decent chair to use out there!

Tyler is enjoying his tomato and the sunshine before school starts.
Josh is holding Jacob and helping me out tremendously. ;-)
Ah, the newest chicken! Beautiful birds, but not laying any eggs yet.
Abby loves them enormously! Notice Jack is the background
blur...he's chasing down a chicken.

Eric fishing with Dad up in New York

Eric got one of the most exciting trips of all times with Dad. Dad was there to preach a conference, but during the day, they'd do all sorts of fun things. This last day, they chartered a fishing guide and went out on Lake Ontario. Eric caught 3 fish...two King salmon and one carp.

Our first broken arm.

Matthew is our first....broken arm that is. He snapped the bone right above his wrist when he fell off the monkey bars a couple weeks ago. The doctor required that he be put to sleep when they set it, so here he is right before the doctors came in to wheel him away.

He wasn't too thrilled about this "shower cap" they asked him to wear. ;-)

He came home to lots of delicious things and plenty of attention.

Eric is taking Jacob for a spin in Abby's babydoll stroller.
Jacob is simply super cute. I could smooch those cheeks forever. In fact I will...right now.....
Miss Abby in her newest dress. I think she feels like every Sunday is a "new dress" day. These are super easy to make, and most of them only take 1 yard or less of material.
My friend, Erika Cronin, made this adorable onsie for Jacob. It's supposed to look like he's a football.
Yup, he's mine....all mine. I do rent out his cheeks. ;-)

This is her favorite dress so far. It's red with tiny white spots, and thus her favorite.

A trip to Marble Falls!

I took the boys and Abby (minus Jack who was at camp) down to visit cousins in Marble Falls, Texas. They live near the river, so we spent two solid days in the water. Jumping in, finding treasures at the bottom of the river, or just soaking in the cool water.
This is Abby, Tyler, and Candice.
Tyler getting up the courage to jump off the 10 feet wall.
Abby about to push him off of the 10 foot wall!
Another section of the river that was much narrower. The boys found a rope swing on the opposite bank, but they had to climb a rickety rope ladder to reach it! They didn't seem to mind.
Candice and Jacob.
Candice, Tyler, and Abby.
And he jumped!
Abby had no fear of the 10 foot jump.
