Kidzfest 2009

We had a wonderful weekend last week.  As an intro to our church, we planned a very large event for the kids of Southlake.  It involved sand art, painted faces, balloon creatures, 8 bounce houses, and free food.  Trust me, it was better than the Fair!  All the people in the bright green shirts were volunteers.   

Drew was in the dunk tank.  It was truly hilarious.

Notice that Clay has on a Chaplain jacket?  He is the official chaplain of Southlake all this month.  Different pastors from the churches in Southlake volunteer for the job, and it is only for a month at a time.  He gets a special phone, and so far, no one has called...only 7 more days.

Does anyone with kids know what this creature is?  We had TWO at our Kidzfest!

Here are pictures the Jack took while in the Philippines.  Jo is in most of them, and Jack didn't take too many of the sights since he was too busy looking around. 

In an ironic twist of fate, I had to pick up Clay, Jack, Eric Capaci, and his son Jo from the airport.  The only vehicle large enough for us all was the van Bro. Eric had driven from Hot Springs.  It was a real LOOKER!  Trust me, it's as lovely inside as outside!  The boys loved the lack of seatbelts.
