On August 28th, Southlake Working As a Team, sponsored a city-wide clean up of one of our local nature centers. It started at 8:30, and included City Council members, the mayor, a Boy Scout troup, two other churches, a tree trimming company, a stump removal company, and a total of 150 people pulling weeds, laying a ton of mulch, picking up limbs, and hauling the wood to the chipper. It was a massive undertaking, but with all the people, it was fun and done by 1:30. This is the picture of the people who lasted to the end.

The Ballengers got the hottest, most weed-infested spot and knocked it out.

There were tables with places to sign up for different jobs.

And tables with all the tools we might need.
